I have just bought a condo and realized it does not have a lot of storage. Not for my 4000 books and boxes of family history information, photos and memorabilia.
I have done this and it works wonderful. For hardcover books, rip the covers off. The book takes up way less space. Softcover books, rip some pages out. It works wonderful. You'd also be amazed at how many you can nail to the walls or apply strings to and hang from the ceiling in all the rooms. You could consider tossing out the furniture (call me). Got pets?
